Elon Musk co-funder of PayPal and Tesla Motors invested $100 million of his own fortune in the SpaceX commercial space rocket manufacturing company. Mr. Musk feels it is critical for the human race to develop affordable space travel to become a multi-planet species in order to avoid possible extinction events.
