Brillouin Energy Corporation's Hypothesis on the Mechanics of "Cold Fusion" is Similar to Widom-Larsen Theory

Brillouin Energy Corporation has apparently arrived independently upon their own hypothesis for the mechanics behind the Fleishmann-Pons Effect (cold "fusion"), which is actually very similar to the Widom-Larsen theory.  According to Robert Godes the Chief Technology Officer, their own proprietary method of bringing about the Fleishman-Pons Effect is done via CECR (Controlled Electron Capture Reaction).  In CECR a proton is induced to absorb an electron by firing an electromagnetic wave generated by Brillouin’s proprietary electronic pulse generator in to a suitable metal hydride.  An endothermic reaction occurs in which some of the protons in the metal absorb an electron to form low energy (higher mass) neutrons and neutrinos.

The low energy neutrons produced are then capable of being captured by the nuclei of surrounding atoms.  The metal lattice of suitable composition, such as Palladium or Nickel, is loaded (infused) with light or heavy (deuterium) hydrogen before-hands.  When the nucleus of an atom absorbs one of the low energy neutrons, a new isotope of the element is created.  If the newly created isotope is of an unstable variety, one of the neutrons in the nucleus will beta decay in to a proton and electron.  The original atom therefore is transformed in to a heavier element (original atomic number +1 proton).  A large amount of energy, in the form of heat, is released as well.

Thus what Martin Fleishmann and Stanley Pons described back in 1989 as being cold "fusion" is quite possibly not really the fusing of two nuclei, but rather the result of weak nuclear interactions as hypothesized by Robert Godes, Dr. Allan Widom, Lewis Larsen, Brian Ahern or others.

There is a really good simplified explanation of the Widom-Larsen theory described by Dr. Srivastava in his lecture at the New Energy Times website titled, 13. Widom-Larsen Theory Simplified.  If you are lost, that is the key article to read for an explanation.  Most scientists believe that the Coulomb barrier (the repulsive force between the nucleus of atoms which contain positively charged protons) is not possible to be overcome at low temperatures and pressures in order for fusion to take place (under normal conditions on the Earth for example).  Fusion of Hydrogen atoms is theorized to occur on the Sun, where the high temperature and pressure caused by gravity allow the Hydrogen nuclei to overcome the Coulomb barrier and combine to make Helium and a large amount of energy.

The Widom-Larsen theory proposes that "weak interactions" are responsible for what originally was described as cold "fusion" by Martin Fleishmann and Stanley Pons in 1989.  Rather than actual fusion taking place, what the WL theory proposes is that protons combine with electrons to form ULM "ultra-low momentum" neutrons and neutrinos (reverse beta decay) which are then absorbed by the nucleus of atoms.  Since the charge of a neutron is neutral, there is no Coulomb barrier to overcome.  It is proposed by WL theory that once the atom absorbs the ULM neutron, a new isotope of the original element is created which may actually be unstable.  The absorbed neutron in the now unstable isotope would then "beta decay" to create a proton and electron so that the atomic number of the original element's atom that absorbed the neutron is increased by 1, thus being transformed in to a new heavier element.  This entire process creates a lot of excess heat not explainable by a chemical reaction.  So on the surface it appears that fusing of elements has occurred when in fact it was neutron absorption and beta decay...

Tungsten-Filled 1 Kilo Gold Bar Found In The UK

The last time a story of Tungsten-filled gold appeared on the scene was just two years ago, and involved a 500 gram bar of gold full of tungsten, at the W.C. Heraeus foundry, the world's largest metal refiner and fabricator. It also became known that said "gold" bar originated from an unnamed bank. It is now time to rekindle the Tungsten Spirits with a report from ABC Bullion of Australia, which provides photographic evidence of a new gold bar that has been drilled out and filled with tungsten rods, this time not in Germany but in an unnamed city in the UK, where it was intercepted by a scrap metals dealer, and was supplied with its original certificate. The reason the bar attracted attention is that it was 2 grams underweight. Upon cropping it was uncovered that about 30-40% of the bar weight was tungsten. So two documented incidents in two years: isolated? Or indication of the same phenomonenon of precious metal debasement that marked the declining phase of the Roman empire. Only then it was relatively public for anyone who cared to find out on their own. Now, with the bulk of popular physical gold held in top secret, private warehouses around the world, where it allegedly backs the balance sheets of the world's central banks, yet nobody can confirm its existence, nor audit the actual gold content, it is understandable why increasingly more are wondering: just how much gold is there? And alongside that - while gold, (or is it GLD?), can be rehypothecated, can one do the same with tungsten?

Matt Taibbi Discusses BofA Fraud/Bailouts and Resignation of GS Exec Greg Smith

Source: Democracy Now
Date: 3/22/2012

In his new article, "Bank of America: Too Crooked to Fail," Rolling Stone reporter Matt Taibbi chronicles the remarkable history of the rise of Bank of America -- an institution he says has defrauded "everyone from investors and insurers to homeowners and the unemployed." Taibbi describes how the Bush and Obama administrations have repeatedly propped up the financial institution, which received a $45 billion taxpayer bailout in 2008. Bank of America has also received billions in what could be described as shadow bailouts. The bank now owns more than 12 percent of the nation's bank deposits and 17 percent of all home mortgages.

Also discussed is Goldman Sach's history of denigrating its own clients, as recently highlighted by former Goldman executive Greg Smith's explosive resignation letter in the New York Times. Decrying what he called Goldman's "toxic" culture, Smith said bosses at the firm called their clients "muppets" and strove to maximize profits at the expense of client interests, adding: "It makes me ill how callously people talk about ripping their clients off." Goldman Sachs is now reportedly scanning internal emails for the term "muppet" and other evidence that employees referred to clients in derogatory ways. Taibbi argues it is naive to think there was ever a "golden era" when Goldman Sachs was a great financial institution.

[Editor's Note: Learn about a key aspect of our economic system that perhaps is not emphasized enough in its importance.  After the collapse of the Bretton Woods agreement and the gold standard, a scheme to prop up the U.S. dollar was devised and sold to the Arab nations by the Nixon administration.  In 1973 Henry Kissinger was sent over to negotiate this deal with the Saudis in which it was agreed that Saudi Arabia would trade her oil only in US dollars.  In return the Saudis received weapons and protection from the United States.  The OPEC nations by 1975 had followed suit...]
