So far reactors #1 and #3 of the six reactor Fukashima nuclear power plant in Japan have blown up. Reactor #2 has cooling system failure. There are six reactors in the Fukashima nuclear power plant complex.
According to radio show host Alex Jones, Potassium Iodide is currently being handed out to the people near the blown reactors in Japan as a protective measure from radioactive fallout. Alex is himself taking an iodine supplement (he did not endorse any particular brand but the label of the bottle on his desk shows it came from Whole Food Markets) to protect his thyroid against any fallout that might make its way over to the United States via the jet stream. Western states such as California, Utah, Oregon, Colorado are in the path of the jet stream. Alex Jones lives in Texas.
