The human race is dying.  It certainly won’t happen this year or even this decade, but the steady degeneration of human DNA would eventually lead to the total extinction of humanity given enough time.  The reason that we are heading toward extinction is the increasing number of mutations that are being passed down from generation to generation.  According to Dr. John Sanford of Cornell University, every one of us already carries tens of thousands of harmful mutations, and each of us will pass on approximately 100 new mutations to future generations.  Humanity is degenerating at an accelerating pace, and at some point the number of mutations will become so great that we will no longer be able to produce viable offspring.  This is not going to happen in the immediate future, but already signs of DNA degeneration are all around us.  Despite all of our advanced technology, genetically-related diseases are absolutely exploding.  Our bodies are weak and frail, and with each passing generation it is getting even worse.

Now startup company Quantopian offers a tantalizing proposition for software and financial geeks who want to trade like a hedge fund manager - but don't want to pay those steep fees. The Boston-based firm is bringing together a community of people who build algorithms used for trading stocks.

Someone who claimed to be from DHS (Department of Homeland Security) knocked in a threatening manner on Susanne Posel's door. Susanne immediately called her lawyer and did NOT open the door. The knocking continued for another 10 minutes and the self-identified DHS agent left a CPS (Child Protective Services) calling card. The CPS got the local police involved to come back and knock on Susanne's door some more, demanding that she open the door because they had reason to believe her children were in danger. Susanne did NOT open the door since no proper warrant or authorization was provided. The agent(s)/local police finally left after knocking on Susanne's door for a very long time...

Know your rights. If you willingly comply with illegitimate orders (even stepping out of your home on to your porch as marine Brandon Raub did, who was illegally arrested and sent to a mental institution) you could be subjecting yourself to unnecessary arrest and/or search and seizure of your property, or worse yet children.

Need we worry about what we say about Obama's administration in our private communications with friends and family?

If this is a power you would have found outrageous and unacceptable under Bush, shouldn't you consider it just as unacceptable under Obama? This is now Obama's second term, he can't place the blame for his national security decisions on the Bush administration any longer.

I find this level of intrusion into the personal lives of law-abiding citizens with no consideration of the Constitution to be troubling, and frankly not what America is supposed to be about.

The phys.org article Tests find Rossi's E-Cat has an energy density at least 10 times higher than any conventional energy source dated 5/23/2013 indicates that seven co-authors have published a paper concerning their independent energy measurements of the Andrea Rossi E-Cat HT and HT2 LENR (Low Energy Nuclear Reaction) device(s) to arXiv.org.  If correct, the results of the test indicate an energy density far beyond that of any other conventional energy sources, although not as great as nuclear (e.g. plutonium per the plot below).

LENR was initially colloquially termed "cold fusion" and made its debut in March 23, 1989 when Stanley Pons and Martin Fleischmann announced an as-yet unknown kind of nuclear reaction which could occur at room temperature.  At first there was much hope and fan fair as the public's imagination was captured by the potential of a cheap, clean, abundant and non-polluting energy source.  The hopes were dashed as Pons and Fleischmann (excellent chemists in their field) were quickly and unfairly thrown under the bus, as other scientists were unable to reproduce their results in short order (due in part to a tainted supply of palladium).  Pons and Fleishmann were also the victims of some ugly political intrigue.  For details, see Eugene Mallove's book Fire from Ice: Searching for the Truth Behind the Cold Fusion Furor.

The press/public have been disappointed once before.  Will the second time be the charm?  In the wake of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster the world could certainly use a new form of nuclear energy which produces no meltdowns or harmful nuclear waste.  Devices like Rossi's promise just that, clean, cheap, portable and abundant energy which produces no waste except for possibly the excess heat generated.  Although Rossi has his detractors I personally hope the man succeeds.

European Parliament Vice President Gianni Pittella told a Brookings Institution forum May 3 that the European Central Bank should become more like the Federal Reserve System in the U.S.-- and serve as the euro zone's "lender of last resort."

But that was only one of several sweeping goals this Italian euro-crat professed in Washington.

Converting the ECB into a central bank along the lines of the Fed would require other large-scale changes, which Pittella characterized as strategic imperatives that no sane person could possibly oppose.

Two of the major ones are: 1) Creating a formal trans-Atlantic free-trade agreement between America and Europe; and 2) creating a single military for all of united Europe.
Pittella said this proposed super force would apparently replace the separate armies of EU nation states.

Since Brooking Institution representatives, like those from other major think tanks such as The Hoover Institution, The Carnegie Endowment, The Hudson Institute, and The American Enterprise Institute, participate at the annual, secretive Bilderberg Group world-planning meetings, the thrust of Pittella's vision—which seeks to alter and solidify the euro zone dramatically—could very well be among the topics at the 2013 Bilderberg gathering at The Grove Hotel near London in June.

Notably, Cheng Li, a senior research fellow at Brookings' Thornton China Center, attended the Swiss Bilderberg meeting in 2011.

And this May 3 Brookings presentation mirrored several official Bilderberg agenda items.
A related Bilderberg topic at that group's Spain meeting in 2010 was: "US and European Fiscal and Financial Challenges." In 2011 in Switzerland, a related topic was, "A Sustainable Euro: Implications for European Economies"; and last year in Virginia, Bilderberg topics also relevant to Brookings' current topics were: "The European Political Landscape," and "Sustainability of the Euro and its Consequences."

Perhaps the crowning agenda item in Pittella's presentation was to literally remake the EU into a true "United States of Europe." The proposed new U.S. of Europe would have a sole treasury official and a sole foreign minister, with the president "directly chosen by its citizens," Pittella claimed.

And Pittella let the quasi-captive citizens of the European Union nations know not to entertain any serious notions of nationalism, or self-rule. He used words like "xenophobe" and "demagogue" to describe those who would join or form nationalist political parties, or take part in other actions, to resist this calculated consolidation of separate nation states that he so stridently supports.

Pittella fumed that EU citizens cannot treat the union like a restaurant and order what they want and reject the rest. "The European Union is a common-destiny choice—and you're in it for better or worse," he stated, though he acknowledged that there are rumblings the United Kingdom may be inclined to leave the EU.

"The City of London bears significant weight in the UK's Gross Domestic Product," Pittella said, as if to warn any would-be "rebels" in the UK that this powerful world banking center, also known as "The Square Mile," would oppose UK attempts at departing from the EU.
Pitella added that the euro zone's fragility represents "a confidence crisis."

His fear is that the euro, as "a common currency," needs "a common government" like the proposed U.S. of Europe, lest the euro unravel and European nations revert back to self-rule.

The Bilderberg Group is a closed annual world-planning summit of top bankers, corporate heads, select media moguls, royalty, finance and foreign ministers, some legislators and other manicured mavens who exercise enormous control over global finance, media, energy, and, above all, over governments themselves.

Bilderberg's critics maintain that this Group--which has been meeting secretly since 1954 and seals its meetings behind a ring of armed guards—is the ultimate proof that major world decisions are part of a rigged game that is collusive and highly undemocratic—forcing most of the global population into a plantation-like existence, run by a tight superrich minority.

The Grove Hotel, located in Hertfordshire, just north of Watford, is a luxurious, historical 5-star facility with a first-class golf course and all the other amenities your typical secretive world planner could possibly want.

The Grove—built for, and the former home of, the Earls of Clarendon—became a hotel only relatively recently. The site itself dates back to the late 1290's.

The 2013 Bilderberg meeting itself, by all the latest indications, is to take place June 6-9.
Previous speculation held that Bilderberg would meet in Chantilly, Virginia again, but that would break the group's pattern of never meeting in the U.S. two years in a row.

A central challenge continues to be breaking the American mainstream media's virtual blackout of the Bilderberg meetings, especially compared to the more open reporting among most European media—although the 2012 Bilderberg meeting in Virginia saw more U.S. media coverage than ever before, even including Washington Post coverage.

This is highly notable, since the Post's publishers have for decades attended the inner sanctum of Bilderberg while agreeing with the ironclad insider rule that nothing be reported about what transpires inside Bilderberg meetings.

The late Jim Tucker of American Free Press for years hammered away at the Post's collusion in this regard, which apparently helped spark more US mainstream media coverage of Bilderberg in 2012 than ever before.

Tucker, who passed away April 26, will long be remembered for his trailblazing Bilderberg coverage for over 25 years.

Interestingly, the Grove Hotel is no stranger to secretive conferences. It previously hosted the exclusive Google Zeitgeist conference in 2009, 2010 and 2012. And Google Chairman Eric Schmidt has attended Bilderberg meetings.

"Every year Google's co-founder Larry Page and executive chairman Eric Schmidt fly over from California to host the British event," the online London Telegraph noted, in May of 2012, referring to these Zeitgeist meetings. "Previous attendees include Prince Charles, David Cameron and Sir Richard Branson." Former President Bill Clinton spoke at the 2012 gathering. And, as the Telegraph also noted, these Google confabs, much like Bilderberg's, are closed to the press.

Israel bombed Syria at the beginning of the week, and it has huge possible consequences to the U.S., Middle East and the world. The Israelis reportedly attacked multiple sites in Syria. Part of the raid was meant to destroy Iranian rockets that could strike just about anywhere in Israel. At least 100 Syrian soldiers were killed. These scud rockets are a fourth generation missile that are precision guided, carry a 1,000 pound payload and have a range of 185 miles. The Israelis are afraid of these rockets falling into the hands of Hezbollah, a terror group backed by Syria and Iran. The Iranians charge there is going to be a “crushing response.” Syria called this an “act of war.” Whatever you call it, it’s an escalation in a civil war that has already claimed the lives of 70,000 Syrians. The big problem is going to be payback and implications of this turning into a wider Middle East war and possibly world war. Russia, China and Iran back Syria. The U.S. and its allies back the rebels that have ties to al-Qaeda–also a terror group.
