Forex: Fed Rallies the Dollar, But True Test is S&P 500 Below 1,600 $USDJPY $XAUUSD $SPY $USDX $EURUSD $GBPUSD $AUDUSD

Video Description
As many investors feared, the Federal Reserve confirmed its intention to rein in its support of the market - the 'Taper'. Though the central bank didn't 'pump the breaks' just yet, investors that have used excessive leverage or exposed themselves to risky assets to draw a meaningful rate of return could sense the risk ahead in such exposed positions. In the wake of the news, the dollar posted its biggest rally in 19 months for short-term breaks in pairs like EURUSD, GBPUSD and AUDUSD.

Despite these moves, however, the scales of sentiment haven't permanently shifted. In today's video, we discuss what it would take to escalate the sense of risk aversion, what the advance for USDJPY and yen crosses means and why the 1,600 figure for S&P 500 is critical. Market conditions change, and our strategy should reflect those changes. We have coded the DailyFX-Plus strategies for Breakout, Range and Momentum to adapt to these market shifts. 21 Facts About #NSA Snooping That Every American Should Know

Source: The American Dream
Date: 6/17/2013
by: Michael Snyder

There seems to be a lot of confusion about what the NSA is actually doing. Are they reading our emails? Are they listening to our telephone calls? Do they target American citizens or is it only foreigners that they are targeting? Unfortunately, the truth is that we aren’t going to get straight answers from our leaders about this. The folks running the NSA have already shown that they are willing to flat out lie to Congress, and Barack Obama doesn’t exactly have the greatest track record when it comes to telling the truth. These are men that play word games and tell lies for a living. So it would be unrealistic to expect them to come out and tell us the unvarnished truth about what is going on. That is why it is so important that whistleblowers such as Edward Snowden have come forward. Thanks to them and to the brave journalists that are willing to look into these things, we have been able to get some glimpses behind the curtain. And what we have learned is not very pretty. The following are 21 facts about NSA snooping that every American should know…

CONFIRMED: Obama Spying On MILLIONS Of Verizon Customers

Source: David Seaman
Date: 6/5/2013
Editor's Note:  For reference, this is the Glenn Greenwald article referenced by David in his video, NSA collecting phone records of millions of Verizon customers daily.

Video Description
As The Guardian's Glenn Greenwald reported today, at least since April the Obama administration has been "indiscriminately" spying on MILLIONS of American citizens who are Verizon customers -- regardless of whether they are guilty of anything whatsoever. This is concrete proof that the American government is using taxpayer money to spy on millions of innocent US citizens.

Need we worry about what we say about Obama's administration in our private communications with friends and family?

If this is a power you would have found outrageous and unacceptable under Bush, shouldn't you consider it just as unacceptable under Obama? This is now Obama's second term, he can't place the blame for his national security decisions on the Bush administration any longer.

I find this level of intrusion into the personal lives of law-abiding citizens with no consideration of the Constitution to be troubling, and frankly not what America is supposed to be about.

The “March Against Monsanto” in 52 countries, an unapproved strain of its genetically modified wheat growing profusely in Oregon, cancelled wheat export orders ... it's been a rough week for Monsanto.

Editor's Note: Recently Japan rejected a US wheat shipment due to genetic contamination from genetically modified wheat at a farm in Oregon.  This will be a large financial loss for wheat farmers.  See Japan halts imports of U.S. wheat after USDA's shock finding of genetic pollution from GMOs for details.
