Editor's Note: For reference, this is the Glenn Greenwald article referenced by David in his video, NSA collecting phone records of millions of Verizon customers daily.
Video Description
As The Guardian's Glenn Greenwald reported today, at least since April
the Obama administration has been "indiscriminately" spying on MILLIONS
of American citizens who are Verizon customers -- regardless of whether
they are guilty of anything whatsoever. This is concrete proof that the
American government is using taxpayer money to spy on millions of
innocent US citizens.
Need we worry about what we say about Obama's administration in our private communications with friends and family?
If this is a power you would have found outrageous and unacceptable under Bush, shouldn't you consider it just as unacceptable under Obama? This is now Obama's second term, he can't place the blame for his national security decisions on the Bush administration any longer.
I find this level of intrusion into the personal lives of law-abiding citizens with no consideration of the Constitution to be troubling, and frankly not what America is supposed to be about.
